About Five Nights at Freddy's 3
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is a paranormal survival horror game in the FNAF series, developed and published by Scott Cawthon. It is the third main entry and shifts the setting from the old pizzerias to a new location: Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction built around the closed Freddy Fazbear's Pizza chain after a series of tragic events. The attraction is stocked with animatronics that have been possessed by the souls of murdered children.
You take the role of a new night guard at Fazbear's Fright. Your job is to last from midnight until 6 AM using security cameras and other equipment to keep the animatronics from reaching you. The gameplay is in the same spirit as FNAF 1 and 2, but FNAF 3 adds its own tools: a flashlight to temporarily blind the animatronics and sound lures to draw them away from your position. Each of the five nights gets harder, and if you are caught, you restart from the beginning of that night.
The game offers two possible outcomes. One is reached by surviving all five nights. The other is reached by finding and finishing all of the hidden mini-games. Fans still debate what each ending means for the story. FNAF 3 was well received for its atmosphere, scares, and gameplay, and it was a commercial success, selling over two million copies in its first week and topping App Store downloads in 2015. It remains a strong pick for anyone who wants a tense, story-driven horror game.
Characters & Tools
FNAF 3 is set at Fazbear's Fright. You face Springtrap and the classic animatronics, and you have cameras, a flashlight, and sound lures to survive.
Night Guard
The player character. You are a new employee at Fazbear's Fright, the horror attraction. Your only goal is to survive the night using cameras, the flashlight, and sound lures.
Springtrap
The main animatronic threat in FNAF 3. A damaged spring-lock suit with a tragic backstory, he stalks the attraction and must be monitored and managed to survive.
Freddy Fazbear
One of the haunted animatronics that appear in the attraction. He and the other classic characters are driven by the spirits of the children and will attack if they reach the guard.
Bonnie the Bunny
A possessed animatronic rabbit that roams Fazbear's Fright. Like the others, he must be tracked on the cameras and kept at bay with the tools at your disposal.
Chica the Chicken
The chicken animatronic, also possessed. She is one of the characters you must avoid and distract using the game's camera, flashlight, and sound systems.
Foxy the Pirate Fox
The pirate fox animatronic. He appears in the attraction as one of the threats the night guard must survive using security cameras and other tools.
Security Cameras
Your main way to watch the attraction. Use them to see where animatronics are and plan when to use the flashlight or sound lure.
Flashlight
A tool that can temporarily blind animatronics, buying you a few seconds. Use it wisely; managing when to look and when to shine the light is key to lasting the night.
Sound Lure
Audio bait used to draw animatronics away from your position. Luring them to another part of the building gives you time to check cameras or recover.
